OVERSEEDING INTRUCTIONS: For existing lawns, scalp and bag the clippings. No need to kill or till existing lawn. Rye will actually insulate your warm season grass through the winter while dormant. Your existing lawn will grow back the following spring. Rake or remove all debris (this helps for better soil contact), fertilize as suggested or choose the starter option, water lightly before seeding evenly at the heaviest rate recommended, lightly mist to keep seeds in place. Excessive force will move seeds into uneven clumps. Watering helps increase germinating process.
