Tifdwarf offers a fine blade and its putting surface can be compared with many creeping bentgrasses. Tifdwarf is highly adapted to heat, saline or sodic soils, heavy traffic and low mowing. Because it overseeds and transitions well, it is highly effective for year-round play in areas where summer temperatures exceed 100 degrees F. Verticutting and topdressing are needed to balance the aggressiveness of Tifdwarf, but its mat is the perfect base for overseeded winter grasses.
